SPRINGFIELD, PA − Agosto 26, 2019 – Sen. Tim Kearney (D – Delaware, Chester) was today presented with the Guardian of Victims’ Rights Award from Marsy’s Law for Pennsylvania.

“I’m humbled to receive the Guardian of Victims’ Rights Award from the fearless advocates at Marsy’s Law for Pennsylvania,” said Senator Kearney. “We must amplify the voices of those who have gone unheard, and I’m proud of what we have accomplished for crime victims. But we still have further to go and I will never stop fighting for the dignity, respect, and justice that victims deserve.”

The award is presented to individuals who have served as advocates and ambassadors for crime victims across the state, working to ensure that they are treated with dignity and respect. Senator Kearney is a co-sponsor of Marsy’s Law legislation, which is seeking an amendment to ensure that the Pennsylvania Constitution enumerates rights for victims of crimes.

The award was presented during a meeting with representatives from Marsy’s Law for Pennsylvania and the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County.
