MEDIA, PA – DECEMBER 12, 2024 – Senator Tim Kearney (D-Delaware) is proud to announce that $1,482,358 in funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) has been awarded to organizations and initiatives in Delaware County. These funds will support vital programs that enhance community safety, support victims, and ensure justice is served.
“I am thrilled to see these investments come to Delaware County to support my district,” said Senator Kearney. “These grants demonstrate the Commonwealth’s commitment to protecting our neighbors, supporting victims of crime, and strengthening our justice system. The organizations that have been awarded the funding are trusted community partners with proven track records of helping those in need. I am confident these resources will have a meaningful impact in our community.”
The recipients and award totals are listed below:
Federal Victims of Crime Funds, Rights and Services Act Funds, Victims of Juvenile Offender Funds
- Delaware County Executive Director – Court Services received $43,907 for RASA/Victim Services.
- Delaware County Executive Director – JPO received $153,051 for DCJCPS-VSP 2025-2026.
- Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, Inc. received $97,945 for Legal Advocacy Services.
- Delaware County Victim Assistance Center received $175,626 for Rights and Services Act (RASA) 25-26.
State Endowment Act – Prevention Funds
- Delaware County Victim Assistance Center received $250,000 for Project Safe and Smart – 2025.
State Children’s Advocacy Center Funds
- Family Support Line of Delaware County, Inc. received $47,000 for Funding an Operations Assistant/Welcome Specialist.
Continuing County Adult Probation and Parole Grant Funds
- Delaware County Executive Director received $714,829 for Grant-in-Aid Funding.
