Delaware County state elected officials and community partners delivered the largest diaper collection to date to the Upper Darby WIC office on December 19 as part of Senator Tim Kearney’s Fifth Annual Diaper Drive.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA – December 22, 2025 – Senator Tim Kearney’s (D-Delaware) Fifth Annual Diaper Drive saw its largest collection to date, highlighting the impact of expanded partnerships and strong participation from across Delaware County. Tens of thousands of diapers, wipes and essential baby items were collected to support parenting families through The Foundation for Delaware County, local Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) offices, and Maternity Care Coalition.
This year’s drive included collection sites hosted by the offices of Senator Amanda Cappelletti, state Representatives Lisa Borowski, Heather Boyd, Gina H. Curry, Leanne Krueger, Jennifer O’Mara, Carol Kazeem, Regina Young, David Delloso, and Greg Vitali, along with local YMCAs and The Foundation for Delaware County. Early Friday morning, donations were delivered to the Eddystone WIC office with Representative Krueger, followed by a large drop off at the Upper Darby WIC office. Additional donations were later delivered to Maternity Care Coalition.
“The success of this year’s diaper drive speaks directly to what is possible when partners across our community step up together,” said Senator Kearney. “I am deeply grateful to every office, organization, and constituent who contributed to this effort. These extended collection efforts allowed us to reach more families than ever before this holiday season. That is the purpose of this initiative and what matters most.”
A key addition to this year’s drive was the participation of the Rapid Relief Team(RRT), which delivered a pickup truck full of supplies made possible through a partnership with EveryLife. The team also donated approximately 65 preassembled diaper kits containing diapers, wipes, and diaper rash cream.
“RRT is grateful for the opportunity to donate diapers and wipes to Senator Kearney’s Diaper Drive,” said Wes MacDonald, Rapid Relief Team North America Operations Manager.“ Supporting families in their times of need is a core pillar of RRT’s efforts, and we are honored to contribute to an initiative that provides essential supplies to parents and caregivers when they need them most.”
Local YMCAs also played a major role in expanding the reach of the drive through their members and community partners.
“We know that many young families are facing the rising costs of essentials like diapers and formula, and the YMCA is committed to being there when our community needs us most,” said Michael Ranck, President & CEO of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County. “Through the generosity of our members and partners, we were able to step up in a big way for Senator Kearney’s Diaper Drive. Supporting families during challenging times is at the core of our mission to strengthen community and nurture children. Every donation represents hope and care—and together, we’re making a real difference for those who need it most.”
The collected diapers will support families served through the Foundation for Delaware County. “We deeply appreciate all who donated to the diaper drive and thank Senator Kearney for his leadership in organizing it,” said Joanne Craig, Chief Impact Officer, The Foundation for Delaware County. The diapers collected will directly support families participating in our Family Village programs, helping to meet a basic need that is often overlooked. We value our ongoing partnership with Senator Kearney and are grateful for his commitment to supporting children and families in Delaware County.”
